Staff

Brittney Van Winkle is a 2010 honors graduate of Flomaton High School in Escambia County, Alabama. During her time there, she played saxophone, oboe, and was drum major for the marching band. She accepted academic and music scholarships to Troy University where she graduated in 2014 Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Music Education. Upon graduating, Mrs. Van Winkle began teaching elementary music and choir in the Houston County school board district outside of Dothan, AL then taught for a year and a half at Elba Elementary. In 2019 she became a part of Team Wildcat. Mrs. V is ecstatic to begin her third year at Florala. Her husband, Blake, is the band director at Samson High School. They reside in Florala with their dogs, ferret, and cats.
