Mrs. Turman begins her first year as principal at Florala High School. This will be her fourth year in administration at FHS, previously serving as Assistant Principal and Interim Principal. She holds 3 teaching certificates including a Elementary Education degree, Middle Maths certificate, and a Masters in Instructional Leadership from Auburn University. With 18 years in education, she has worked in various roles from Pre-K to High School Special Education. She competed at the state level in high school Golf, cheered four years at the collegiate level at Faulkner University,  and has coached multiple sports over the years. She and her husband, Troy Turman, have been married for 15 years and have three children: Betsy Turman, Ben Turman, and Brock Turman. Her children keep her busy playing volleyball, basketball, baseball, and softball. They are members of Cedar Grove Church of Christ.

 

A note from Mrs. Turman:

 The students, staff, and community are a joy to work with in Florala.  I have a heart for kids, and these students have my whole heart. We have big goals for this upcoming school year, and I am so thankful to be a part of this wonderful school. Go Wildcats!
